MACS Hosts First NSCAA High School Clinic NSCAA Senior Academy Staff Coach Paul Marco conducted a clinic for members of the Maryland Association of Coaches of Soccer July 31-Aug. 2. "Paul was an exceptional instructor, both on the field and in the classroom," said Haroot Hakopian, who organized the clinic for MACS. "He was extremely personable and made himself available to the coaches whenever we had down-time. He made the event extremely informative and enjoyable. As a teacher and a coahc, I know that is an extremely difficult thing to do.
"The best part of the weekend was the feedback from the coaches," Hakopian continued. "Every one of them was excited to take the information back to use with their teams. Each coach, no matter what the level of their team, thought they could use the info with their teams."
MACS members have a long history of involvement with and support of the NSCAA, highlighted by the service of long-time MACS member and NSCAA past president Steve Malone as founding chair of the High School Scholar All-America and Team Academic Award committees.
