Enyeart, Perk Claim NSCAA Player of the Week Honors for Oct. 21
Michelle Enyeart (Portland/Hemet, Calif.) and Brian Perk (UCLA/Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) give a West Coast flavor to the NSCAA National Players of the Week for Oct. 21.

Enyeart had a pair of game-winning goals on the road for the Pilots while logging three goals and as many assists, while Perk came back from injury to maintain clean sheets against two nationally-ranked conference foes.

Each week, a male and female player will be selected from a nomination pool comprised of players of the week from each NCAA Division I soccer conference. The players will be announced each Wednesday afternoon from now until Nov. 11 through NSCAA.com, the official website of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. They also will be recognized at halftime of the NSCAA College Game of the Week on Fox Soccer Channel, a schedule of 20 men’s and women’s intercollegiate matches.

This week the FSC cameras will be in Indiana for a pair of matches. The Friday night men’s game will feature the host Evansville Purple Aces (9-4-1) in a Missouri Valley Conference battle with No. 24 Drake Bulldogs (8-4-1) beginning at 8 p.m. ET. The women’s telecast will showcase a Big East match-up between No. 6 Notre Dame (12-3-1) and Georgetown (12-3-2). The game will be played in South Bend on Sunday afternoon, with the telecast airing at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 27.

Michelle Enyeart
F, Sr., University of Portland, Hemet, Calif.
Enyeart scored both game-winning goals in road wins at Pepperdine and Loyola Marymount. Overall, she tallied three goals and three assists last week. The Pilots’ victory at LMU snapped a seven-match unbeaten streak at home for the Lions. Pepperdine is ranked No. 57 in the latest RPI and LMU is No. 73.

Brian Perk
GK, Sr., UCLA, Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.
A week after leaving a game with an eye injury, Perk returned to action and earned a pair of shutouts over top 20 opponents in No. 10 California and No. 18 Stanford. In Friday’s match against the Golden Bears, he had three saves as his defense held its opponent to eight shots. In the 79th minute, he made a leaping save to preserve the shutout and give the Bruins the 1-0 win. Closing out the weekend against Stanford, Perk had another solid performance as once again his defense surrendered single-digit shots on goal, allowing only six. He made two saves in the Bruins 2-0 victory over the Cardinal. In the 62nd minute with UCLA clinging to a 1-0 lead, he dove to punch out a dangerous ball in front of the box.
